SOFTLIGHTER HOT SHOE DIFFUSER



 			     The Softlighter HSD is available in three sizes: 
				    HSD-4000 36" TIP TO TIP
				    HSD-5000 46" TIP TO TIP 
				    HSD-6000 60" TIP TO TIP

			     This diffuser delivers light that has been totally reflected before it is
 			     diffused, resulting in a very soft and even light

			     The Softlight HSD kit includes the following:
				   1 OP series umbrella (white interior & removable black cover).
				   1 Diffuser panel with Velcro opening for Hot Shoe Flash and
				      Umbrella shaft.
 				   1 Set of Velcro tabs to be attached to the Hot Shoe Flash Head.
 			   	   1 SMA-1000 Hot Shoe Umbrella/Light Stand Adapter with 
				      adjustable Hot Shoe Locking Plate.

			     FINAL TOUCH: Easy set-up. The HSD's translucent cover fits
			                  directly onto the tips of the umbrella.

			     ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
			              1- Before attaching the two pieces of Velcro to the Hot Shoe flash head, you have to make sure you line up the
			                  proper hook & loop sides with the Velcro on the Diffuser slit. Lay the HSD diffuser down on a flat surface
			                  with the Photek logo tab at the top.Open the Velcro slit on the diffuser to get the proper Velcro match
			                  with the pieces you are attaching onto your Hot Shoe flash head. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST LEAVE
			                  THE VELCRO ATTACHED TO THE FLASH HEAD FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE USING IT FOR
			                  THE ADHESIVE TO BOND SECURELY TO THE HEAD.
					 
			              2- Place the SMA-1000 on to a light stand by using the insert adapter which is reversible for either a 1/4-20
			                   or 3/8 female thread. If the stand has a 5/8 stud, remove the insert adapter.
					 
	           		              3- Attach the HS flash head to the SMA-1000 adjustable HS plate and tighten with the plate screw.
						
			              4- Open the Velcro sllit on the HSD diffuser and attach it to the HS flash head Velcro tabs, keeping
			                   the Photek logo tab to the top.
					  
		        	             5- Open the umbrella and place the shaft into the umbrella hole on the SMA-1000 slightly past the
			                   point that the umbrella shaft separates.
					  
		        	             6- Now attach the 10 rings on the HSD diffuser to the tips of the ribs on the umbrella.
					  
		           	             7- Close the velcro slit on the HSDdiffuser around the HS flash head and the umbrella shaft.
						 
			              8- The assembly is now complete.
				 
		                          Please Note: you can use the HS flash head without installing the Velcro tabs, but as you move
		                          the umbrella to different positions it may slip off.
